A Chilean woman has been remanded in preventive custody in Antofagasta for the qualified homicide of a four-year-old and nine-month-old girl, in the so-called 'Caso Josefa'. The defendant lived with the victim's father and was arrested on the day of the death. The girl's body showed injuries consistent with habitual abuse.
