1,131 election district results reach verification center

The chairperson of Ethiopia's National Election Board, Melatwork Hailu, announced that 1,131 out of 1,139 election district results have reached the verification center. The update was given in Addis Ababa on June 4, 2018.

Of the 501 election districts for the House of Peoples' Representatives, 497 results have reached the verification center. Additionally, 634 out of 638 regional council election district results have arrived.

Complaints have been filed in 120 election districts. These cases are being examined by legal experts.

A total of 148 witnesses have provided testimony on the various complaints. The process follows procedures set by the board.
