An 18-year-old caused multiple collisions through a risky overtaking maneuver in the Neu-Ulm district. Three people were lightly to moderately injured.
The driver overtook a vehicle ahead on a straight road in Weißenhorn despite oncoming traffic. The first oncoming car swerved aside, but the 18-year-old lost control. His car hit two more oncoming vehicles head-on. One was flipped onto its side and the other ended up in a grain field. The car then collided with a fourth vehicle. Three injured people were taken to hospitals. Property damage is estimated at 100,000 euros. An investigation has been opened against the driver.
