ABC has confirmed a premiere date for its new Dancing With the Stars spin-off, which aims to select the next professional dancer for season 35. Titled Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro and hosted by reigning champion Robert Irwin, the series will debut on July 13. It features 12 up-and-coming dancers competing in a shared house through an intense audition process.
ABC announced the spin-off on Wednesday, putting 12 aspiring dancers under one roof to battle for a spot on the Dancing With the Stars season 35 roster. The show premieres Monday, July 13, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, with episodes streaming the following day on Hulu. A teaser for the series is available online. Season 35 of the flagship program lacks a premiere date so far, though its first two contestants have been revealed. The Next Pro concept was first reported in February. In related scheduling updates, Showtime's The Chi returns for its eighth and final 10-episode season on May 22 exclusively on Paramount+ with the Premium plan. Tyler Perry's Zatima resumes season 4B on May 12 on the same service. Project Runway season 22 launches July 9 on Hulu, Disney+ and Freeform. HBO's original film Miss You, Love You, starring Allison Janney as a grieving widow and Andrew Rannells as her estranged son's assistant, airs May 29 on HBO and Max. Freeform and Hulu's unscripted series Million Dollar Nannies, following elite nannies launching an agency in Ibiza, begins June 17 on Freeform and June 18 on Hulu.
