Activision has revealed dates for the Modern Warfare 4 beta and the return of the Call of Duty: Next event. The beta will run across multiple platforms including Switch 2 for the first time.
Activision announced the return of Call of Duty: Next as a global online event on 21 August. The broadcast will include a developer briefing followed by live gameplay from creators.
The Modern Warfare 4 beta follows immediately after the event. A closed beta for pre-order players runs from 21 to 25 August on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. An open beta takes place from 28 August to 1 September and adds Switch 2 support.
Switch 2 pre-orders open on 26 August. The beta includes 19 weapons, maps supporting 3v3 and large-scale vehicle battles, Search & Destroy, the new Kill Block mode and a Training Mobility Course.
Modern Warfare 4 launches on 23 October across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2.
