Adam Levy, son of television judge Judy Sheindlin, will host a new syndicated courtroom show titled Adam's Law, set to premiere in 2026. The announcement comes from CBS Media Ventures, highlighting Levy's extensive legal background. Sheindlin praised her son's judicial skills in a statement supporting the project.
CBS Media Ventures revealed on December 17 that Adam Levy will lead the new series Adam's Law, part of an upcoming lineup that also includes a spinoff of America's Funniest Home Videos called American Mayhem. The show, produced by Sheindlin's Queen Bee Productions alongside CBS Media Ventures, lists Sheindlin and Roland Tieh as executive producers. Talks with station groups are underway to secure distribution.
Levy, born in October 1968 to Sheindlin and her first husband Ronald Levy, brings a robust legal resume to the role. After earning his law degree from Hofstra Law School in 1992, he served as an assistant district attorney in Suffolk County, focusing on cases involving women and children assault victims. He later co-founded the firm Levy & Santoro in Carmel, New York, handling criminal and matrimonial matters statewide.
Elected district attorney of Putnam County for two terms, Levy oversaw a 40 percent reduction in property crime, earning the county recognition as the safest in New York State. His initiatives included expanding the Drug Treatment Court Program, founding the Putnam County Intelligence Committee, and enhancing resources for victims of child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and addiction through the Child Advocacy Center. He also contributed to community education on bullying and drug prevention, and taught at institutions like The National Institute of Trial Advocacy and The New York Prosecutors Training.
Sheindlin, whose own Judge Judy aired for 25 seasons from 1996 to 2021, endorsed her son enthusiastically: “Adam is a spectacular lawyer. As a judge, his search for the truth is unparalleled. In a justice system where the truth is often diminished by the lazy or inept, Adam is the gold standard for judicial excellence.” Levy has prior television experience, appearing on Tribunal Justice and Justice on Trial, but Adam's Law marks his first solo hosting gig.
Personally, Levy married Lori Leichtman shortly after college and they have three children, including daughter Sarah Rose, who co-stars with Sheindlin on Judy Justice, launched in 2021 on Amazon Freevee. Sheindlin also recently debuted Justice on Trial on Prime Video.
