AIKS leader Ashok Dhawale exhorts Amaravati farmers to resist ring road project

He visited Gudivada village in Tenali division of Guntur district and held a meeting with affected farmers. AIKS alleges that farmers' consent is being ignored.

Ashok Dhawale, president of the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS), visited Gudivada village in Tenali division of Guntur district on Saturday. He held a meeting there with farmers whose lands are likely to be acquired for the Amaravati Ring Road project.

AIKS has questioned the Andhra Pradesh government over the land acquisition, alleging that farmers' consent is being ignored. Dhawale exhorted farmers to unite and resist the unjust acquisition while demanding fair compensation.

The project is proposed in Amaravati, where farmers have expressed concerns over the land pooling process.
