Alaska Airlines has been eliminating routes from West Coast hubs since January 2026, with around six more cuts scheduled for May and June. Los Angeles and San Francisco face the biggest losses, with four and seven routes respectively being axed. Affected paths from San Francisco include flights to Boston, Austin, Orlando, Newark, Burbank, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City. Los Angeles has already lost service to Reno, San Jose, and Las Vegas, while San Jose will see flights to Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, and Guadalajara end in May. San Diego's route to Atlanta was cut in March.
