Angelo Baque reveals unreleased Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 sample

Angelo Baque shared an unreleased sample of his Air Jordan 5 collaboration with Awake NY. The reveal coincided with his appointment to the Jordan Design Studio.

The sample features a white leather upper and teal green midsole, differing from the retail version. It shows the brand’s A logo stitched on the collar rather than integrated into the netting.

Baque also posted an alternate version of the upcoming Awake NY x Air Jordan 6. This version uses the brand’s crown logo in place of the slanted A branding.

The posts align with Jordan Brand’s announcement naming Baque to the Jordan Design Studio. The initiative includes Chris Gibbs of Union Los Angeles and aims to mentor emerging designers.

Baque wrote that he looks forward to working with new creatives and helping the next generation of innovators.
