Anker unveils P1i portable projector with rotatable speakers

Anker's Nebula sub-brand has introduced the P1i portable projector at CES 2026, featuring innovative rotatable speakers for better audio direction. Designed as a compact 'party in a box,' it aims to enhance movie nights with adjustable sound and Google TV integration. The device is set for launch in early 2026 at around $369.

At CES 2026, Anker under its Nebula brand revealed the P1i portable projector, positioning it as an all-in-one solution for impromptu gatherings. The standout feature is its speakers, which fold out 90 degrees for an elephant-ear look and rotate up to 200 degrees. This allows users to direct sound toward their seating position, with each 10-watt speaker adjustable independently—addressing a frequent issue in portable projectors where audio doesn't reach the audience effectively.

The P1i runs on Google TV, providing access to full versions of apps like Netflix. It delivers 1080p resolution, suitable for its price point, and claims 380 ANSI lumens of brightness—adequate for TV-sized images in dim settings. The lens appears similar to that of the TCL A1, suggesting no automatic upward throw; for a distortion-free rectangular image without keystone correction, it must align at the screen's center height. A retractable foot on the base helps tilt the front upward for flexibility on various surfaces.

Anker anticipates releasing the P1i in early 2026 for approximately $369, making it an accessible option for casual home entertainment.
