Ashley and Yusra partner with Arada Mall for furniture showroom

Ashley Industries has partnered with Yusra Homes to open a flagship furniture showroom at the upcoming Arada Mall in Addis Ababa. The agreement was signed in a ceremony attended by US Ambassador Ervin Massinga. This marks Ashley Furniture's entry into the Ethiopian market through an exclusive retail deal.

Ashley Industries Plc, a leading global home furnishings manufacturer, has entered into an exclusive retail partnership with Yusra Homes, a local furniture importer, to launch its first showroom in Ethiopia. The flagship outlet will be housed within the Arada Mall, a major commercial development under construction in the Piassa district of Addis Ababa, directly opposite the Adwa Museum.

The partnership agreement was formalized in a signing ceremony that drew notable attendees, including US Ambassador to Ethiopia Ervin Massinga, alongside senior executives from Ashley Industries and Yusra Homes. Ashley Furniture, the American brand behind the venture, operates over 20,000 retail outlets in 155 countries and employs approximately 35,000 people worldwide.

Arada Mall is positioned as Ethiopia's first international-standard shopping center, having already engaged global professionals in its construction phase. The project, costing more than one billion Ethiopian Birr, features fully leased commercial spaces even before completion. Of these spaces, 48 percent are allocated to international businesses, while 52 percent go to local firms. The mall will offer a diverse array of retail, service, and commercial facilities under one roof, including spaces for government service offices.

Further partnerships are anticipated as the mall nears operational status, enhancing Addis Ababa's retail landscape with global brands.
