Chigee releases sr-1 radar system for motorcycles

Chigee has introduced the sr-1, a new aftermarket radar warning system designed for motorcycles. The product uses 77 GHz millimeter wave radar to alert riders to approaching traffic. It is now available for purchase along with optional rearview mirrors.

The sr-1 consists of a small sensor mounted at the rear of the motorcycle. It connects via a wiring harness to the battery and to led warning lights on the mirrors. A yellow led on the sensor itself aims to warn drivers approaching from behind too quickly. Installation takes about an hour and fifteen minutes for someone with basic electrical skills, using supplied 3m tape and hardware.
