Choose France: 30 billion euros in French investments announced

For the first French edition of Choose France, the government announced 30 billion euros in investments by French companies. This amount surpasses the previous record of 20 billion set at the international edition. The event took place on Monday at the Maison de la chimie, followed by a dinner at the Élysée.

Emmanuel Macron chaired the first 'French edition' of Choose France, reserved for French companies, unlike the previous seven editions aimed at foreign investors. According to the executive, 151 investment projects have been recorded over the past twelve months, totaling 30 billion euros. This amount beats the record of the last international edition, which stood at 20 billion euros.

The new announcements presented at the event held on Monday at the Maison de la chimie account for nearly one-third of this total, exactly 9.2 billion euros. These investments span various sectors and extend across the entire French territory. Among the flagship projects is a giant data center involving Iliad (parent company of Free), EDF, and the Infravia fund, for 4 billion euros. This site will have a power capacity of several hundred megawatts.

The event marks a success for President Macron, who can boast of having met the challenge of attracting domestic investments at a record level. The projects highlight the commitment of French companies to developing their activities on national soil.
