Colombia national team is advancing its preparation for the World Cup under coach Néstor Lorenzo. On Thursday the Argentine coach revealed the pre-list of 55 players who will be blocked by their clubs.
Standout names include James Rodríguez, Luis Díaz, David Ospina, Yerry Mina and Juan Fernando Quintero. Lorenzo highlighted the returns of Sebastián Villa and Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, as well as the inclusion of Jhon Durán.
The coach explained that the concentration will begin next week in Medellín. Colombia will play friendlies against Costa Rica and Jordan before debuting on June 17 against Uzbekistan.
Lorenzo has until June 2 to finalize the definitive list of 26 players.
