Djurgården appoints William Wallén as player developer

Djurgården has hired William Wallén as its new player developer. The former club junior joins from Rögle to support player education across all levels.

Djurgården continues to strengthen its organization with the appointment. Wallén, nearly 35, previously handled individual development for Rögle juniors and will now oversee player education from the hockey gymnasium up to the SHL team.

General manager Niklas Wikegård highlighted the move on the club site. "We want to continue to strengthen our organization and create an even more leader-dense environment," he said.

Wikegård added that Wallén's qualifications speak for themselves. "William is moreover a passionate hockey person, Stockholmer and Djurgården supporter," he noted, after several discussions made the fit feel natural.
