Drew Allar made a strong first impression during the Pittsburgh Steelers rookie minicamp this weekend. The third-round quarterback focused on footwork and terminology under head coach Mike McCarthy. As the only quarterback on the roster, Allar received extra reps throughout the sessions.
Allar participated in practices that concluded a day early on Saturday. McCarthy worked closely with him alongside quarterback coach Tom Arth, emphasizing lower body mechanics and adjustments to the offensive system. The coach described Allar as a physically gifted thrower who handled a demanding workload of 35 snaps in team drills without issue.
