Emil Agyekum breaks German 400m hurdles record at Diamond League meeting

At the Diamond League meeting in London, Emil Agyekum broke the German record in the 400m hurdles. Josh Kerr also set a world record in the mile.

Emil Agyekum of SCC Berlin ran the 400m hurdles in 47.45 seconds, breaking Harald Schmid's 1982 mark of 47.48 seconds. He finished second behind Norway's Karsten Warholm, who set a meeting record of 46.61 seconds.

Malaika Mihambo won the long jump with a leap of 7.05 meters. She beat American Claire Bryant and Italy's Larissa Iapichino.

Britain's Josh Kerr ran the mile in 3:42.66 minutes to break Hicham El Guerrouj's 1999 world record. Robert Farken set a German record of 3:46.82 minutes.

In the pole vault, Armand Duplantis placed second behind American Sam Kendricks. Both cleared 5.95 meters.
