Evanescence has announced its sixth studio album, 'Sanctuary', due out on June 5 via BMG. The band shared the dramatic lead single 'Who Will You Follow', co-written by former Bring Me The Horizon member Jordan Fish. This follows their 2021 release 'The Bitter Truth' and comes ahead of major tours.
Evanescence revealed 'Sanctuary' as its first full-length album in five years. Fans can pre-order the record now in digital, CD, or limited-edition box set formats, with a 2LP vinyl edition arriving September 4. The album features contributions from producers Jordan Fish, Zakk Cervini, and Nick Raskulinecz, who worked on multiple tracks. Amy Lee provides soaring vocals on the lead single, singing lines like, “What have you done to me / You drain the life out of me till I don’t know myself / When all your faith in reality fades away / Who will you follow.” Lee described the project as “over three years in the making,” adding, “I am so damn proud of every second of it... I’m dying for the fans to hear this.” The tracklist includes songs such as 'Beautiful Lie', 'Rapture', 'Afterlife', and the title track 'Sanctuary'. In December, Evanescence announced a UK and European tour starting September 8 at Leeds’ First Direct Arena, joined by Poppy, Nova Twins, and K.Flay. This follows a North American run with Spiritbox and Nova Twins this summer. The band previously collaborated with Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante and Poppy on last year’s 'End Of You'.
