Falcons sign Kyle Pitts to three-year, $54 million extension

The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to a three-year, $54 million contract extension with tight end Kyle Pitts that includes $36 million guaranteed.

The deal, reported by CBS NFL insider Jonathan Jones, makes Pitts the third-highest-paid tight end in the NFL at an average of $18 million per year. It is also the largest three-year contract for a tight end in league history.

Pitts earned the extension after a career-best 2025 season in which he recorded 88 receptions for 928 yards and five touchdowns. Those totals ranked second among tight ends, and he earned Second Team All-Pro honors.

The Falcons had placed the franchise tag on Pitts in February to prevent him from reaching free agency. He was originally selected fourth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Florida and has amassed 284 career receptions for 3,579 yards and 15 touchdowns in 78 games.
