Ferrari has unveiled its first fully electric vehicle, the Luce, featuring a design by former Apple designer Jony Ive's firm LoveFrom. The car received a blessing from Pope Leo XIV but has drawn strong criticism online over its appearance.
The 2027 Ferrari Luce is the company's first five-seater with four doors and a glass-and-aluminum exterior. It carries a base price of 550,000 euros, or about $640,000. The vehicle delivers 1,035 horsepower, reaches nearly 200 mph, accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, and offers a range of about 330 miles. An amplified sound from the electric axles replaces the traditional engine roar.
