Amazon Prime Video unveiled the initial teaser trailer for its adaptation of Ali Hazelwood's novel The Love Hypothesis at Obsessed Fest on June 27. The romantic comedy stars Lili Reinhart as Olive and Tom Bateman as Adam Carlsen.
The short clip highlights the story's central fake dating arrangement between a Ph.D. candidate and a professor at Stanford University. It features narration about scientific connections and shows key moments including an impulsive kiss and subsequent tension.
Claire Scanlon directs from a script by Sarah Rothschild, with Elizabeth Cantillon producing. The film is based on the New York Times best-selling novel and centers on themes of academic ambition and personal relationships.
The Love Hypothesis is scheduled to begin streaming on Prime Video on Sept. 23.
