Fourth Mangusta 165 REV superyacht launched in Viareggio

The fourth unit in the Mangusta 165 REV series has been launched from the Overmarine Group shipyard in Viareggio, Italy. This 49.9-metre yacht joins its sisterships N1, No Rush, and Perfetto. Sold in January 2023, it is set for delivery in April and will cruise the Mediterranean while available for charter.

The Mangusta 165 REV serves as the flagship of Mangusta's Maxi Open line, known for its impressive speed capabilities. It is powered by four 2,600hp Rolls Royce engines paired with a Kongsberg Kamewa water-jet propulsion system, achieving a top speed of 35 knots.

A standout feature is the large aft beach club, described as a "true lounge on the sea." This area includes an additional sheltered space for relaxation near the water, along with a side garage that accommodates a six-metre water-jet tender and two jet skis.

The exterior design comes from Lobanov Design, which collaborated with Overmarine's technical department to "reinterpret the classic profile" of Mangusta's open yachts in a more dynamic style. Interiors are fully custom, created by the yard's in-house design team in partnership with designer Marcello Pianosi of POM home. The layout emphasizes bright and airy spaces through floor-to-ceiling glazed surfaces that blend indoor and outdoor areas. The main saloon exemplifies this with side fold-down balconies that expand the space and views over the water.

Accommodation spans six cabins, including a 92-square-metre main-deck master suite across two levels and a full-beam VIP cabin on the lower deck. At the bow, an al fresco lounge features sofas, sunpads, and a Jacuzzi. The sundeck includes a bar area and additional sofa seating.

BOAT International has previously toured the first unit in the series, N1.
