Frontier Developments has refreshed the official Planet Zoo YouTube channel with a new logo for Planet Zoo 2. The change points to an upcoming announcement for the management game sequel. This follows a tease last year and an explicit confirmation of work on the project.
The original Planet Zoo launched in 2019. Frontier teased the sequel in November 2025 by adding a '2' to an anniversary video. The studio then stated in a news post that it was hard at work on a sequel and planned to share more next year.
