Gamespain direct winter 2026 showcases 25 spanish indie games

The Spanish industry association DEV has shared the GameSpain Direct Winter 2026, a digital showcase highlighting 25 upcoming indie games from Spanish developers. Hosted by content creator ClemmyGames on YouTube, the event aired earlier today and includes trailers and developer interviews. The initiative aims to promote Spanish video games internationally.

The GameSpain Direct Winter 2026 event, organized by DEV (Desarrollo Español de Videojuegos), focuses on promoting upcoming Spanish indie titles set for release in the coming weeks or months. Broadcast on ClemmyGames' YouTube channel, the showcase features 25 trailers, each up to one minute long, along with short interviews providing insights into game mechanics and release timelines. The full video is available at https://youtu.be/OVsO89n6Oec.

Among the featured games is Rewilders: The Lost Spring by Herobeat Studios, an open-world action roguelite involving creature collection and metroidvania-style progression, centered on themes of friendship and restoration. Elementallis from AnKae Games offers top-down action-adventure gameplay with elemental magic, where players restore elements in a dying world. Hidalgo by Infinite Thread Games draws from the classic novel Don Quixote, presenting cozy adventures in a handcrafted puppet world, including battling windmills and solving puzzles.

Other titles include Clue: Murder by Death (Cocodrolo Games), a story-rich detective mystery set in 1930s England; Die or Die (Ao Norte), a top-down shooter roguelite using dice mechanics; and Gnaughty Gnomes (Sandcastles Studio), a combat game emphasizing card upgrades and rule changes. The lineup spans genres such as horror, like PECADO [SD Card] (Solid Neon SD), a first-person folkloric experience in rural Spain, and Crisol: Theater of Idols (Vermila Studios), a survival horror using blood as ammunition; cozy simulations like Garden Haven (Resistance Studio), a mixed reality gardening title; and action adventures like Dracamar (Petoons Studio).

GameSpain, funded by the Spanish government and led by DEV, connects developers with international markets, investors, and media. DEV represents companies in the game development sector, promoting it as a strategic industry for jobs and cultural export. Submissions are open for the next GameSpain Direct in spring.
