Guilty Gear -Strive- Switch edition adds free DLC with 43 character colors

Arc System Works America has released a free DLC pack for the Nintendo Switch version of Guilty Gear -Strive-, introducing 43 new alternate colors for characters. The update enhances customization options for players in select regions starting immediately. Further rollout details will follow for other areas.

Arc System Works America announced the launch of the 'Additional Character Color Pack' as a complimentary download for Guilty Gear -Strive- on Nintendo Switch. This content provides 43 fresh color variations, specifically Color 16 for 31 of the currently playable characters in the Switch edition, excluding Lucy. It also introduces Colors 7 to 12 for the fighters Venom and Unika, allowing greater personalization in matches.

The DLC became available today in North America, Latin America, Japan, and South Korea. Players in other regions can expect the update soon, with exact dates shared via the game's official website and social media. To use these options, owners of the base Guilty Gear -Strive- Nintendo Switch Edition must install the latest game patch.

Notably, Lucy's Color 16 is absent from this pack and tied instead to the paid 'GGST Additional Character Lucy' DLC. Arc System Works America emphasized that the free addition aims to increase cosmetic diversity at no extra charge, though no plans for similar updates on future characters were detailed.

Guilty Gear -Strive- first appeared on other consoles before its Switch port, continuing the series' tradition of anime-style visuals, intense battles, and robust online features from developer Arc System Works. The publisher's North American branch handles such releases and community efforts for titles like Guilty Gear and BlazBlue.
