Santiago Herrero, 15, was attacked by a group of youths at a central corner in Villa Carlos Paz. The teenager suffered skull trauma that sank his cranium and required emergency surgery.
The victim's mother provided TN with a new medical report on his condition. The boy remains in serious condition after the operation.
The incident took place in the Cordoban city and authorities continue to investigate.
