Former quarterback Joe Theismann believes Aaron Rodgers can succeed in 2026 if the Pittsburgh Steelers improve their offensive line protection. Rodgers threw for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 16 games during the 2025 season. The Steelers re-signed the 42-year-old to return for another year.
Theismann made the comments on the Schwartz on Sports YouTube channel. He said Rodgers does not need to learn a new system and can act as a coach on the field. The key, Theismann added, is giving Rodgers time to read defenses and get the ball out quickly so he can carve people up. Last year Rodgers often had to run for his life, Theismann noted, but the team has focused on fixing the line this offseason.
