John Cena sends message to Ohio Valley Wrestling after 1400th episode

WWE legend John Cena congratulated Ohio Valley Wrestling on reaching its 1400th consecutive episode on June 11, 2026.

In a video message shared by the promotion, Cena reflected on his early career in OVW, noting that the group had provided the starting point for his wrestling journey alongside classmates including Brock Lesnar, Batista and Randy Orton.

“Greetings Ohio Valley Wrestling fans, professionals, and those behind the scenes. I’m John Cena,” the message began. “I wouldn’t have an end to such a beautiful wrestling journey if I didn’t have a start.”

Cena praised the promotion’s nearly three decades of consistent programming and credited its staff, alumni and fans for sustaining the organization. WWE ended its developmental partnership with OVW in 2008.

Several other wrestling figures, including NXT General Manager Robert Stone, Shawn Spears and Billy Gunn, also sent messages of congratulations to the promotion.
