Jury Duty season 2 sets spring premiere on Prime Video

Prime Video has announced that season 2 of the documentary-style comedy Jury Duty will premiere in spring with a new corporate setting. Titled Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, the series follows an unsuspecting temporary worker at a family-owned hot sauce company's offsite event. The season kicks off on March 20 with three episodes.

Prime Video's Jury Duty is shifting from the courtroom to the boardroom for its second season. The show, which earned multiple Emmy nominations for its first run, returns with a fresh premise centered on corporate dynamics.

Season 2, officially titled "Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat," premieres on Friday, March 20, with three episodes available initially. Two more episodes follow on March 27, and the three-episode finale streams on April 3. The story unfolds at a corporate offsite event for a family-owned hot sauce company, viewed through the eyes of Anthony, a recently hired temporary worker. As the official synopsis describes: "Unbeknownst to Anthony, the entire experience is staged, every colleague around him is performing a role, and each moment — whether in conference rooms or during downtime — has been meticulously orchestrated. As the founder prepares to step down, the getaway transforms into a clash between big corporate ambitions and small business values, with control of the company hanging in the balance."

This setup echoes the original season's format, which wrapped in April 2023. It chronicled an American jury trial from the perspective of Ronald Gladden, a solar contractor from San Diego, who was unaware the entire case was fabricated. Everyone else, including actor James Marsden, was in on the ruse. Season 1 received Emmy nods for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Marsden, as well as writing and casting.

The move to a corporate retreat maintains the show's mockumentary style, blending humor with staged realism to explore workplace tensions.
