Kai Havertz sidelined again due to injury

German national team player Kai Havertz must pause again just one month after his comeback. Due to a muscular injury, he is expected to miss the North London Derby against Tottenham on February 22. It is unclear if he will be fit in time for the internationals at the end of March.

Kai Havertz, the 26-year-old Arsenal forward, suffers a setback. As reported by 'The Athletic', he must pause longer due to a muscular injury. This comes just one month after his comeback on January 11, when Arsenal won 4:1 in the FA Cup match against Portsmouth.

Since then, Havertz had started in four of the last five games under coach Mikel Arteta. The Premier League leaders will thus miss the national team player in the tense derby against Tottenham on February 22, possibly for longer.

Havertz, formerly with Bayer Leverkusen, underwent right knee surgery at the end of August last year and missed most of the season as a result. The injury could jeopardize his participation in the DFB internationals at the end of March, as dpa reports.
