KL Rahul scripted history with an unbeaten 152 off 67 balls (16 fours, nine sixes) in the IPL match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday. It marked the first 150-plus score by an Indian batter in IPL and his highest in T20 cricket. Punjab Kings chased down the 265-run target to remain unbeaten in IPL 2026.
Delhi Capitals posted a massive 265 against Punjab Kings at Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 25, powered by KL Rahul's unbeaten 152. Rahul reached his century off 47 balls, the fastest by a DC batter, with 16 fours and nine sixes off 67 balls overall. This was the first 150-plus score by an Indian in IPL history and his highest in T20 cricket.
During PBKS's chase, Lungi Ngidi suffered a head and neck injury in the third over off Axar Patel's bowling. Ngidi misjudged a skier from Priyansh Arya while sprinting back at mid-off, falling and slamming the back of his head on the turf. Teammates and medical staff rushed to him as he lay static, and a stretcher was brought on.
Delhi Traffic Police created a green corridor in 11 minutes to rush Ngidi to BLK-Max hospital. He has since been discharged and is stable. Punjab Kings went on to chase the target, bettering their own record and staying unbeaten in IPL 2026.
