Lioness season 3 announces new cast additions

Paramount+ has revealed new cast members for the third season of Taylor Sheridan's spy thriller Lioness, including series regular Ian Bohen and recurring role for Lev Gorn. Production began in Texas in October, following the show's renewal in August. Returning stars Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman will lead the action alongside fresh faces.

Taylor Sheridan's action-packed series Lioness, originally titled Special Ops: Lioness, was renewed for a third season by Paramount+ in August. Production started in Texas in October, though no premiere date has been announced. The first season debuted in July 2023, and the second followed in October 2024.

Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman continue as leads and executive producers, portraying key figures in the CIA's elite Lioness program. They are joined by returning cast members including Laysla De Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez, Michael Kelly, Morgan Freeman, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, and Hannah Love Lanier.

New additions include Ian Bohen as series regular Grady, a by-the-book Delta Force operator and primary K9 handler skilled in battlefield tactics. Bohen, known from Sheridan's Yellowstone and the film Wind River, brings familiarity to the ensemble. Elizaveta Neretin, who appeared in a small role in Mayor of Kingstown, takes on a major part as an international operative who crosses paths with Joe's character.

In a recurring role, Lev Gorn plays an international Deputy Ambassador with expensive taste, though further details remain under wraps. Gorn is recognized for his portrayal of Arkady Zorn in The Americans, along with roles in The Wire, For All Mankind, and other series.

The season is expected to resume the Lioness program's covert operations against terrorist threats, with prior operatives Cruz Manuelos and Josephina Carrillo likely returning for missions under Joe's team. The second season finale highlighted Joe's return home after a successful but costly mission, underscoring the toll on her family and team, which may influence upcoming storylines.

Executive producers include Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Saldaña, Kidman, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Jill Wagner, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
