A fan-made effort to restore online servers for LittleBigPlanet 3 has been abandoned following accusations against its creators. The project, known as LBPOnline, was set to launch earlier this week but faced community backlash. Organizers have since gone silent and removed related materials.

Sony and Sumo Digital decommissioned the PlayStation 4 servers for LittleBigPlanet 3 in April 2024 after earlier temporary shutdowns tied to DDoS attacks. Fans responded by developing private server alternatives, with content creator Ayee announcing LBPOnline on March 3 of this year. The tool was designed to let users access hosted servers on PlayStation 4 or 5 without modifying hardware, and a May 4 rollout was planned.
