New Zealand’s Jonelle Price got proceedings under way, presenting Grappa Nera followed by her second ride Capitaine De Hus Z. British riders including Emma Thomas with The Buzz Factor and Katharina Meyer with Aspen T also presented, with the home side rider drawing the biggest cheer.

Dominic Furnell’s Ivanhoe prompted a brief discussion from the ground jury but was passed first time. The first day of dressage begins tomorrow at 8.30am UK time for the CCI4*-S, with five-star action starting at 1.30pm UK time.
