Lyon women claim 19th french league title

OL Lyonnes defeated Paris FC 5-0 in the Première ligue féminine final on Friday to secure their 19th French championship title.

Tabitha Chawinga scored in the 11th and 17th minutes while Melchie Dumornay added three goals in the 22nd, 60th and 89th minutes.

The team had lost the Champions League final to FC Barcelona 4-0 on 23 May in Oslo. It later claimed the Coupe de la Ligue, the Coupe de France and the league title.

Coach Jonatan Giraldez, who arrived last summer, watched his side dominate Paris FC, who finished twelve points behind in the regular season. Lindsey Heaps played her final match for Lyon before joining Denver Summit.
