Marvel Tokon announces final roster and open beta

Arc System Works revealed the complete 20-character roster for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls at Evo 2026, including a new team of Blade, Deadpool, and Loki. The developer also confirmed an open beta for PlayStation 5 and PC from July 24 to 26. The game is scheduled to launch August 6.

The Samurai Outriders team joins Ghost Rider as the final addition to the launch roster. Other confirmed fighters include Storm, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Magneto, and Doctor Doom.

A hands-on preview at the event highlighted novel mechanics such as wall breaks that expand team access and a shared health pool across characters. Players start with two fighters and gain more through stage progression.

Sony's FlexStrike fight stick was also demonstrated during sessions with Magneto on the New York stage. The peripheral supports wireless play and customizable restrictor gates.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will feature a single-player Episode Mode focused on team lore in addition to its competitive 4v4 gameplay.
