Netflix renews Nemesis for season 2

Netflix has renewed the crime thriller Nemesis for a second season. The announcement came on June 30 from showrunners Courtney A. Kemp and Tani Marole.

The series follows Los Angeles Police Department detective Isaiah Stiles and thief Coltrane Wilder. Season 1 ended with Stiles choosing to help his injured son instead of capturing Wilder.

Kemp said in a statement that the renewal was due to fans showing up and the strong social media response. Marole added that Season 2 will answer questions from the first season and introduce new ones while being bigger and better.

Netflix vice president Nne Ebong praised the global response to the show. The first season launched on May 14 and reached strong viewership numbers in its initial weeks.
