No. 19 Iowa State loses to Oklahoma State 86-58

No. 19 Iowa State suffered its fifth straight loss, falling 86-58 to Oklahoma State in a Big 12 women's basketball game on Sunday. The Cowgirls dominated with 14 three-pointers and a triple-double from Stailee Heard. Jada Williams and Audi Crooks each scored 15 points for the Cyclones.

The Cowgirls extended their advantage with nine straight points in the second, including two triples, to reach 26-14. They pushed the lead to 33-15 before halftime, entering the break up 43-21 after their sixth three-pointer created a 20-plus point margin.

Audi Crooks opened the third with two buckets for Iowa State, but Oklahoma State maintained a lead over 20 points. Sydney Harris hit the Cyclones' first three-pointer at the 7:08 mark, followed by a jumper from Williams, narrowing the gap to 51-30 momentarily. However, the Cowgirls closed the quarter on a 15-0 run, leading 66-35.

In the fourth, Williams scored twice to force an Oklahoma State timeout at 6:56, but the home team preserved its nearly 30-point edge en route to the 28-point victory.

For Iowa State, Crooks extended her double-figure scoring streak to 85 games, the longest active in NCAA women's basketball and the best in the Big 12 since Brittney Griner's 116-game run. She also grabbed her 650th career rebound in the first quarter. Other milestones included Evangelia Paulk's 650th career point (now at 657), Jada Williams' 200th free throw and Reagan Wilson's 50th assist.

Iowa State coach Bill Fennelly's career record now stands at 814-383 overall and 648-330 at Iowa State. The team's all-time mark is 885-683 (.564), with 347-363 (.489) in conference play.

The Cyclones return home to face Cincinnati on Wednesday, January 21, at 6:30 p.m., streaming on ESPN+.
