Nordiq Canada søker en erfaren hovedtrener til å lede det kanadiske senior nasjonale langrennslandslaget. Underlagt høyytelsesdirektøren vil treneren ha ansvar for ledelse av utøvere, trenere og støttepersonell, med mål om varig suksess i internasjonale konkurranser. The position requires implementing the team's program and performance plan, delivering training and competition strategies, and leading at major events such as World Cups, World Championships, and Olympic Games. Collaboration with national training centers, personal coaches, and the broader high-performance system is essential to support athlete development. The coach will also mentor staff, foster an athlete-centered culture emphasizing excellence and accountability, and work with sport science and medicine professionals on athlete health and monitoring. Qualifications include proven coaching experience at the international high-performance level, such as at World Cup or Olympic competitions, along with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. A deep understanding of factors driving success in cross-country skiing is necessary. The role demands extensive travel for training camps and competitions, work in outdoor winter environments, and occasional evenings and weekends.
