The official Panini album for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada went on sale in Colombia on May 1. The launch took place at Bogotá's El Campín stadium, bringing together sports and entertainment figures. This edition marks a milestone as the first held in a stadium.
El Campín stadium became the hub for the launch of the new Panini album, kicking off the excitement ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The event, held for the first time in a stadium, highlighted the brand's history since its founding in 1961 and the venue's opening in 1938.
Luis Felipe Gallego López, commercial vice president of Panini Colombia, emphasized the album's emotional value. “Panini unites Colombians, friends, and family. What we promote most is doing this as a team. [...] We immortalize moments, and that is worth more than many things,” he explained.
The edition features 112 pages with legends like Lionel Messi and current stars like Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé. Elie Milhem, CEO of Panini in Colombia, highlighted its social and economic impact, with distribution in major stores, neighborhood shops, and authorized points.
The “Panini Weekend” is scheduled for May 2 and 3, with over 500 delivery points nationwide, including an official store near El Campín. Lina María Bolívar, manager of Panini Colombia, called the album “the first heartbeat of the World Cup”.
