His girlfriend found him unconscious on the bathroom floor, and paramedics rushed to the scene but could not revive him, TMZ reported. Muldoon, a Los Angeles native, began his acting career in the early 1990s with roles including Matt on 'Who's the Boss?' while in college and Jeffrey Hunter on 'Saved by the Bell.' He gained prominence as designer Richard Hart on Fox's 'Melrose Place,' recurring across three seasons. His most enduring role was Austin Reed on NBC/Peacock's 'Days of Our Lives,' which he originated in 1992 and played through 1995, returning from 2011 to 2012. On film, Muldoon starred as Zander Barcalow in the 1997 sci-fi movie 'Starship Troopers.' Other credits include 'The Chaos Experiment,' 'Born to Ride,' 'The Comeback Trail,' 'Deadlock' (2021), 'Vanquish' (2021), 'Dakota' (2022), 'Marlowe' (2022) and 'Murder at Hollow Creek' (2023). His final film, 'Dirty Hands,' is slated for later this year. Muldoon also served as executive producer on 'Kockroach,' currently in production and starring Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton and Zazie Beetz.
