Persib Bandung won 2-0 against Semen Padang at Stadion Haji Agus Salim on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Ramon Tanque scored the first goal in the 32nd minute from a Berguinho assist, followed by his second in the 69th or 70th minute via a header from Thom Haye's corner kick. Coach Bojan Hodak admitted the opening phase was the toughest. "As I said before, this would be a difficult match. In the first 20 to 30 minutes they came into the game better. After that we slowly started to control," he said in the post-match press conference.
The first goal marked the turning point, allowing Persib to dominate, especially in the second half. "In the second half, we controlled the game for the most part. I didn't see many chances for them. We scored one more goal and had some opportunities for more," Hodak added. He noted the team often underperforms in the first match after a break.
The result solidifies Persib at the top of the standings with 61 points from 26 matches, four points clear of second-placed Borneo FC. Semen Padang remains 17th with 20 points.
