Kabidhumas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto praised workers for peacefully voicing their aspirations.

"Alhamdulillah kegiatan May Day berjalan aman, tertib, dan dapat dikendalikan. Kami mengapresiasi saudara-saudara buruh yang telah menyampaikan aspirasi dengan baik," he said during a press conference at Polda Metro Jaya.

Police detected indications of certain groups attempting to infiltrate the peaceful rally to incite riots. Dirreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Iman Imanuddin stated that the Law Enforcement Task Force conducted early detection and prevention. Seized items included empty bottles, trigger cloths, fuel, concrete nails, slingshots, gotri, sharp weapons, communication devices, money, and activity planning documents.

"Dalam rangka menjaga marwah demokrasi... kami terus berupaya baik secara preemptif, preventif, maupun represif," Iman said. The group, aged 20-35 and mostly from outside Jakarta, was suspected of planning to pit workers against each other, damage public facilities, and attack officers. Currently, 101 individuals are being questioned and will be released afterward.
