Rafa Nadal Academy to host Europe's first FIP Tour padel tournament in 2026

The Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca will kick off the 2026 FIP Tour in Europe with the FIP Bronze Mallorca from January 19 to 25. This event marks the circuit's debut in Spain, following its traditional start in Australia. Top players, including academy ambassadors Antonio 'Pincho' Fernández and Patricia Martínez, will compete in the bronze-level tournament.

The International Padel Federation (FIP) has selected the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in Manacor, Mallorca, as the venue for the first European stop of its 2026 professional tour. The FIP Bronze Mallorca, scheduled from January 19 to 25, 2026, will feature high-level competition with 11 players ranked in the top 100 worldwide. Leading the field are men's number one seed Antonio 'Pincho' Fernández and women's top seed Patricia Martínez, both serving as ambassadors for the academy.

Maribel Nadal, deputy general manager of the Rafa Nadal Academy, expressed enthusiasm for the event: “We are proud that Mallorca and the Rafa Nadal Academy are the starting point of the FIP Tour in Europe in 2026. This tournament reinforces our commitment to the growth of professional padel and the organization of top-level international events, offering players state-of-the-art facilities for competition. Thanks to the joint work with the Balearic Federation, fans will be able to start the year enjoying the best live padel here in Mallorca.”

Supported by the Padel Federation of the Balearic Islands, the tournament underscores the academy's growing role in professional padel. Since opening in 2016, the facility has expanded beyond tennis to include nine outdoor and ten indoor padel courts, a fitness center, and wellness spaces. It has previously hosted major events, such as the FIP World Cup Pairs and a Premier Padel tournament in Cancun.

The FIP Tour 2026 will span five continents, promoting padel globally. This Mallorca event continues the academy's tradition of fostering elite sports development in a comprehensive environment that includes training programs, residences, and dining options for athletes and enthusiasts.
