Randy Pitchford, co-founder of Gearbox Software, said a friend discovered what appears to be an unannounced Google Pixel Watch 5 while scuba diving. The device was found underwater a few days before May 31, 2026, near the island of St. Martin in the Caribbean Sea.
Pitchford posted on X that the watch's back indicates it is a Google Pixel Watch 5, which has not yet been announced or released. He noted the device seemed to be in decent condition and displayed the time even with a drained battery. Pitchford said his friend asked him to examine the watch due to his connections in the tech industry and that he later arranged for its return to the owner.
