Chief Raoni Metuktire was transferred back to the ICU at Hospital São Paulo on Wednesday after experiencing digestive hemorrhage.
The Kayapó leader experienced bleeding in the stomach and duodenum and underwent an endoscopy. His condition was stabilized and he was moved for closer monitoring.
The medical bulletin reported pneumothorax in the right lung, drained without complications. Raoni is conscious, stable and breathing ambient air.
He had left the ICU on June 23 after intestinal surgery and has been hospitalized in São Paulo since June 19. The chief was transferred from Sinop, where he was treated for pulmonary sepsis since June 14.
