Samsung SDS expands ChatGPT Enterprise deals across industries

Samsung SDS is strengthening its position in the enterprise generative AI market by signing deals to supply ChatGPT Enterprise to leading companies in key industries. Since becoming OpenAI's first official reseller partner in Korea last December, it has secured more than 10 clients across public, finance, manufacturing, retail, and service sectors. The firm goes beyond basic licensing to offer tailored AI transformation strategies.

Samsung SDS announced on Thursday that it has recently signed agreements with Korea Zinc, iCraft, and TmaxSoft to supply ChatGPT Enterprise, expanding its reach in the enterprise generative AI market. The product includes advanced security and management tools that isolate businesses' data from model training.

The company has launched a One-Team framework integrating its AI consulting, development, cloud, and security services to provide end-to-end support, from initial strategy and system architecture to deployment, rollout, and optimization. To facilitate adoption, it offers a one-month free trial and three days of dedicated consulting to evaluate system compatibility, security readiness, and potential use cases.

“Samsung SDS’s technical capabilities, trusted security framework, and deep industry expertise have been recognized across sectors, leading to rapid growth in ChatGPT Enterprise supply,” said Lee Jeong-heon, the company’s executive vice president and head of strategic marketing. “We aim to set a new benchmark in the domestic market as the leading AX partner helping companies redefine how they work through AI.”

Korea Zinc, a global leader in non-ferrous metal refining, adopted ChatGPT Enterprise as part of its effort to build an AI-powered smelting system, aiming to enhance data security while accumulating process and technical expertise as internal data assets. AI infrastructure provider iCraft is using it to accelerate digital transformation and optimize workflows for its engineering teams, planning to leverage Samsung SDS’s consulting to boost individual productivity and expand AI use cases across departments. TmaxSoft, which started integrating generative AI into software development in 2024, says the adoption strengthens security in its AI-driven environment and will speed up AI and cloud-native product development under a companywide AI governance framework.
