Scottie Scheffler placed third at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson after a final-round wedge shot hit the pin and left him with a long putt. The world No. 1 has now recorded six top-three finishes this season but remains without a win since his American Express victory.
Scheffler started the final round two shots behind the leader and birdied his first two holes at TPC Craig Ranch. From 105 yards on the third hole, his wedge struck the flagstick and rolled back 55 feet, leading to a par. He finished five shots behind winner Wyndham Clark, who shot 11-under 60.
