Search underway for Jorge Luis Preciado's son after burned car found

The Colima State Attorney General's Office is investigating the disappearance of Jorge Bladimir Preciado Navarrete, son of former senator Jorge Luis Preciado. Authorities found his vehicle burned on the border between Colima and Jalisco, with no human remains inside. Search efforts continue in coordination with officials from both states.

The disappearance of 29-year-old Jorge Bladimir Preciado Navarrete was reported about two weeks ago in Colima. According to the Colima State Attorney General's Office, protocols for missing persons cases were activated, and legal proceedings began. The young man, son of former National Action Party senator Jorge Luis Preciado, was last seen on February 5 in Villa de Álvarez, Colima.

On February 12, officials located a burned vehicle in the border area between the municipality of Minatitlán in Colima, near La Loma, and the Toxin community in Jalisco. The Attorney General's Office confirmed that the car presumably belongs to the missing person, but no body was found inside. The vehicle was secured and handed over to the Public Ministry for expert examinations.

Investigations have expanded across both states, including area searches, evidence processing, expert interventions, review of surveillance cameras, and interviews. The authority is coordinating with the Jalisco Attorney General's Office and federal, state, and municipal security bodies. Constant communication with the family has been maintained, prioritizing the victim's rights and avoiding revictimization.

The Colima Missing Persons Search Commission released a description sheet for Jorge Bladimir: approximately 1.70 meters tall, robust build, light brown skin, short black hair, and dark brown eyes. He has a '666' tattoo on his right forearm and a scar on one eyebrow. Authorities urge the public to provide any information that could aid in his location.
