Sloane Stephens secured her spot in the third round of qualifying with straight-set victories. The 33-year-old American defeated Carol Lee 6-3, 6-2 and then Lisa Pigato 6-4, 6-1. Ranked No. 361, Stephens will face Leyre Romero Gormaz next for a chance to reach the main draw for the 14th time at Roland Garros.
